The cost to build using SIPs is comparative to using standard building materials. Savings occur due to less labour on site and ongoing savings in reduced energy cost (heating and cooling) and far less maintenance than conventional builds.

  • Cost Savings
  • High levels of thermal insulation – Warm and Dry
  • Cyclone strength – strong and damage resistant construction
  • Water tightness
  • Speed of constuction – easier to build
  • High standard of finish
  • Low maintenance
  • Vermin proof
  • Less wastage

The standard 100mm wall and roof panels have a R-Value of 2.63. This compares with a typical timber framed and trussed building with fibreglass batts with a RValue of 2.1. Our designs also include 100mm flooring which increases your R-value to a mammoth R5.50 rating.

All our designs have engineering certification to show they comply with NZ Codes.
All Materials have BRANZ approval.

Typically an SIP’s building will take half the time to construct than one using conventional building methods. If you choose to design something yourself then the timeframe will depend on the complexity of your project.
